NARS Velvet Lip Glide in Stripped - Swatch and review

NARS Velvet Lip Glides claims to have a  high-pigment formula that glides on like a gloss but covers like a lipstick and feels like nothing on your lips

They come in 12 colors and retails for $26

These velvet lip glides do glide on your lips very smoothly and does dry down to a Simi-matte finish. However these do not dry down completely to a matte finish and is not transfer proof. They stay on for a good amount of time but you will need to apply them throughout the day. If the regular liquid lipsticks feels too dry and uncomfortable then you might want to give these a try as they are very comfortable on the lips. They do no dry out your lips but still gives you the same affect as your traditional liquid lipstick

The color range has a good mix of nudes/ mid tones / reds and berries

Stripped is the nudest color in the range and it is a good beige nude. It is a very neutral nude. For darker skin I recommend using this with a lip liner (ex: MAC Stone) .

Cover FX Illuminating Setting Powder Swatch and Review

Cover FX illuminating Setting Powder comes in 2 different shades and in two sizes.

I got the Travel size in Medium that retails for $10 for 4g / 0.14 oz. The full size retails for $32 for 10g/0.35oz. so basically you get more getting the travel size.

The Medium shade as you see below is not meant for medium skin tones as you can see below. Its quite dark If you have Tan to dark skin tones then this is the shade is for you. Anyone who has lighter skin than tan then you will need the lighter shade.

This powder is finely milled and can be used to set your whole face or your under eyes. It does not look heavy and gives the skin a natural look with a pretty glow. Dry to normal skin types would love this powder. I have combination skin and I love this to set my under eyes however in the summer this is a bit too much for me for my whole face. But during fall and winter I do enjoy this to set my whole face.

The powder is illuminating but does not contain any shimmers or glitters. It gives the skin a beautiful natural glow/sheen. If you are looking for a good setting powder and you have dry or mature skin this powder is worth checking out

Jouer Eyeshadows - Amaretto and Cappuccino

Jouer is a Brand that I just dipped my toes into and I have to say I'm impressed.  These are my first 2 products from Jouer and I really love them.

Jouer eye Shadows retails for $22 dollars each and contains 2.2g/0.077oz of product. What's really neat about this brand is that you can connect all products in however way you prefer to make your own palette or you can separate them and carry then individually

The Shadows themselves blend beautifully and are really silky. The 2 shades I have creates a really pretty simple eye but if I want more I bring in some of my mac shades.

Amaretto -described as shimmering bronzed plum. This is a true description of this color. The shade is a pigmented medium shimmery plum brown. Its a very flattering color and can work on different kinds of skin tones. The shimmer is fine and does not have any glitter particles and gives the eye a pretty wash of color with some high sheen. It is very smooth and buildable and blends like a dream. If you have mature lids this formula will not  emphasize any fine lines

Cappuccino - described  as matte dark Chocolate - this description is right on the mark. It is a dark chocolate brown that is pretty neutral. This color is really pigmented and is dark enough for darker skin tone but can be really sheered out for lighter skin tones. Matte shadows can be tricky to blend out but this holds the color while not being patchy and also blends really nicely with other mate shades. It is once again really smooth to the touch and picks up nice amount of color on a brush.

All in all I think these are a really nice formula and is worth the $22 price tag.
