Nubian Eye Shadow Palette by Juvia's Place- swatches and Review

The Nubian Eye Shadow Palette by Juvia's Place is a affordable but a good quality neutral palette that retails for $35 (now on sale for $23) contains 12 shades of Browns and Coppers. The palette comes with 18g/0.63oz of product.

The Juvia's Place is a cruelty free makeup brand.

The Nubian Eye Shadow palette comes with 4 mattes and 8 shimmery shades. The shadows are smooth and very pigmented when swatched with your fingers and goes on the eyes beautifully. They blend into one another really nicely and the palette will suit most skin colors.

On my dark Skin tone I found that the2 mid tone brown matte shades looked almost alike once applied to the eyes and the darker 2 matte shades didn't show up as dark as they swatches on my fingers when applied to the eyes.

The shimmer shades however are beautifully. They are very pigmented when applied to the eyes unlike the mattes. However once again if you are of darker skin tone some colors will look very similar on the eyes.

Personally I think this palette is most suited for medium to tan skin tones. As much as I love the color range in this palette I was disappointed by the matte shades. However if you are looking for a cruelty free eye shadow palette then this is a affordable option.

Bare Minerals Invisible light Translucent Powder Duo - Swatch and Review

The Bare Minerals Invisible powder duo comes with 2 translucent  invisible powders that clams to instantly vanish when applied on all skin tones. The powder also clams to diminish pores and imperfections on the face and provides a effortless fresh look.

This powder retails for $32 and contain total of 9g/0.31oz of product between the 2 shades

Bare Minerals Invisible light Translucent Powder duo comes with 2 shades. One a Matte powder (Matte-Mat) which absorbs oils and perfect for a setting powder and the other a Glow Powder (Glow-Brilliant) that add sheer luminosity for highlight and strobing. Both powders are of a baked formula and feels very fine and silky

The Matte powder is a straight up while setting powder however applied lightly really does disappear into my dark skin without leaving behind any white cast. I found that this powder is great for setting my under eyes as well as to keep it on the go for touch-ups during the day

The Glow Powder has some sheen and looks to be a bit on the pink side however when applied to the skin this offers no color what so ever and just gives the skin a beautiful sheen/glow. There is no shimmer to this. This just adds a very subtle glow to the high points on your face.

I found that while the matte side while does what it clams isn't anything unique that you cannot find elsewhere. the Glow powder however is the star of this duo. This powder offers that beautiful lit from within look to your face. Keep in mind if you like really strong highlight like the Becca Shimmering Skin finishes this isn't for you. This is very subtle but would be great for anyone who wants that skin like glow. It does not enhance any pores (I didn't find that it really diminish them either) and is suitable for mature skin types that want still want to add that sheen.

MAC TARAJI P. HENSON - Mineralize SkinFinish Highlight in The Truth

MAC Taraji P Henson just got released. What I was most drawn to form this collection was her Mineralize Skinfinish Highlight in "The Truth" Shade. This is described as a Soft bronze coral with gold shimmer. This Skinfinish retails for $33 and contains 10g/0.35oz of product.

When the promotional pictures were released this showed to be more of a lighter highlight shade however when I received it I was surprised at how dark this shade is. Even on my darker skin tone (between NC45 and NC50) this shade is no highlight. This is blush/bronze shade for me.

As always the powder is very smooth just like any of MAC Mineralize skinfinish formula and applies beautifully. If you are of a lighter skin tone this shade in The Truth will be a nice blush. For my skin tone this is more of a blush bronze in one.

Clinique Cheek Pop Blush pop in Heather Pop Review and swatches

I have been hearing the buzz about the Clinique Cheeks pops forever so I decided to purchase one to see what the hype was all about. And let me tell you the hype is real.

This retails for $22 comes in 12 shades. It contains 3.5g/0.12oz of product

It comes in the clear container which you can see the beautiful flower design imprinted on the blush. A+ for Clinique for the beautiful packaging.

Heather Pop is a beautiful mid tone natural pink. It looks light on my skin (I am between NC45-NC50 for reference) but I was surprised on how much the color showed up on my cheeks. If you are my skin color this will give you a beautiful Flush of color. It builds up beautifully and does not look overdone. It gives a beautiful soft sheen. If you are looking for bam in your face blush that's going to show up in one go this is not for you.  This is for someone who wants a natural finish to your cheeks and is great for everyday wear. If you are darker than a NC50 in MAC I suggest looking into other colors in this range as this color might not show up on your Skin

All in all I think this is a really awesome formula for blush and I am pondering over getting the Plum and Pansy pop as well.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Oblivion

Urban Decay has come out with 100 shades of Lipsticks in few different formulas called Vice Lipsticks. One of the shades that I found to be really unique is the shade in Oblivion. This is in the Vice lipstick formula  Mega Matte.

This Retails for $17 each contains 3.4g/0.11oz of product.

Vice Lipstick Color in Oblivion is a very cool toned mauve pink with some grey to it. If you have a lighter toned skin color this might look a bit too grey on you. However if you have tan to deep skin tone this color in  oblivion would be a good Nude lipstick.

The Vice lipstick Mega Matte formula is very pigmented and does glide on your lips really well. It also wears really well on the lips without fading out patchy. The only complaint I have with the mega matte is that it dries your lips quite a bit. However the color is so unique and beautiful that I am able to overlook the dryness. I have heard that the Vice lipstick Comfort matte is a better formula so maybe I will try a shade from that range to see if its any different.

I think if you are into the cooler tone nudes with a pit of grey this is a really nice color to check out
